Multilingual
I’ve made one last fundamental change to the blog, and that will hopefully be it for a while. Using Blojsom’s categories, I’ve decided to split the content into two parts - English and Spanish.
The reason is simply that I think I’ll be posting in both languages, depending on the topic at hand, and since there is a possibility of having readers that don’t speak both languages, this is just a way of making things simpler for them.
There is no clear definition of what kind of topic will be covered in each language. Technical subjects will most likely be in english, and whatever has to be in spanish (like the other day’s job offer, or replies to spanish blog posts) will be. There is a possibility that I’ll post the same thing twice, like this post, and if anyone wants to translate one of the technical pieces into spanish, they are welcome to and I will post them with appropriate credit given.
I’ve also split the syndication sidebox into three parts - english-only, spanish-only and everything, and there are links near the top of the page to help you navigate. The default page will include everything.
